YWCA Bethlehem is celebrating 91 years of working to eliminate racism, empower women and promote peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all at our 91st Annual Business Meeting on Thursday, August 16, 2018.

Featured Speaker is Chrissy Hixson, Senior Community Relations Consultant at Capital BlueCross.

“Giving Back and Feeling Great”

Chrissy will share her philosophy of giving back and offer personal insights about enriching your life through community involvement.  YWCA Bethlehem honored Chrissy as a Woman of the Year in April 2018, and we welcome the opportunity to hear more of her story during this keynote presentation.

YWCA Bethlehem was established in 1927 and in its 90-year history the organization has provided for girls, women and families in the Bethlehem Community. The organization has a rich history which includes teaching English to immigrants in the 30s and hosting voter registration drives and voting machine demonstrations for women in the 40s. In the 1960’s YWCA Bethlehem opened the city’s first nursery school and in 1984 opened the first Adult Day Services Center in Northampton County. Today, the YWCA of Bethlehem is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all through our many programs.... Read More
