Description

Join the Office of Student Life & Leadership Development for Day 3 of the Leadership Summit featuring a trip to Promise Neighborhoods located at 333 W Union Street, in Allentown PA. Transportation is provided for students who need it. The event will run from 8:45AM to 2PM. 

Additional students may drive to the location to assist themselves. Students who need to leave the service opportunity early if they drive themselves are able to do so. 

Students will have the opportunity to learn about how Promise Neighborhoods provides leadership and resources to the most vulnerable members of our community. Students will assist with unloading pallets of food items and restocking shelves. This will be followed by fulfilling orders submitted by families for pick-up later that evening. 

Students are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and comfortable attire such as jeans, t-shirt, sweatshirt as you will be moving items around during physical related activity. 

All volunteers will be required to sign a waiver and release form as well as a Child Abuse Background Check form before the day of volunteering. Students will also need to bring a valid color copy of their state or school ID when they arrive. 

Schedule of the day: 

Leave from NCC Spartan Center at 8:45AM
Arrive at Promise Neighborhoods at 9:30AM
10AM Rundown and Training with Promise Staff 
2PM - Departure
