Description
In his letter to the Romans, St. Paul challenges us to “be transformed by the renewal of our minds” so that we might discern the will of God in all things. Fr. Eugene will speak to this challenge through the life of Father Walter Ciszek, SJ, a Pennsylvania-born Jesuit, who spent 23 years in Russia. Much of Fr. Ciszek’s time in Russia was spent in Siberian labor camps and Soviet prisons where he quietly carried on his priestly ministry. There will also be reflections on the ministry of the deacons and their wives in our diocese as they follow their calls of taking on the mind and heart of Christ together. .
Fr. Eugene Ritz, MDiv, MA, JCL was ordained in 2009, and he presently serves as Director of Formation for the Permanent Diaconate, Chancellor, and Judge on the Diocesan Tribunal.
