Description
During this November Monday Mini-Retreat, Tom will lead us in prayer with chants that he has been composing since 1989. He will guide us in discussion around chanting, its contemplative effects upon our mind, heart, and body; and he will share his own chant writing process and personal use for prayer. The chants Tom will be sharing with us are of a more contemporary nature and fitting for harmonization by several persons or a community of faith.
Rev. Dr. Tom Lichner has served as an ordained pastor in the Lutheran Church since 1977. Tom received his BS.Ed. degree at Kutztown University, PA, his Master of Divinity at Wittenburg University, OH, his MA in Pastoral Counseling from Moravian Theological Seminary, and his Doctor’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation in Indiana.

He has been composing chants and entrusting a part of his prayer to chants since 1989. Tom is married to his wife Cheryl since 1978, and they have been residing in the Lehigh Valley most of their lives.
