Join us for a six-day intensive course where you will learn the art of Byzantine Iconography. Using acrylic paints, you will “write” an icon of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Non-painters are welcome. Beginners will be guided step-by-step in painting a portrait of Our Lady while more advanced students will have the option of painting the more detailed image. Iconographer Jody Cole has been facilitating this painting retreat for about 10 years and has been writing icons for 29. She’s enjoys returning each year to paint with both old and new friends & to share this ancient “prayer of the hands”. Meal times and evenings provide time to build community while daily Eucharist and weekly confession are available to feed the soul as well.
