Jakubi has been using pop, R&B, hip-hop, rock and soul genres to create their fresh sound since the five-man group of friends jammed together in one band member's Melbourne, Australia home. The band began by playing house parties together in 2012, and after they posted a track on SoundCloud, it was adapted into a remix by Kygo, gaining the band critical acclaim. The group then came to the United States to work with Grammy-nominated producers and tour the country. Their "laid back and positive vibe” make their shows a cross-genre experience.
