Saintly Sinners: Our Unique Journeys to Holiness Retreat Series
Monday Mini-Retreat; Dorothy Day: Servant of God and Lay Benedictine
Dorothy Day, co-founder of the Catholic Worker Movement, is
best known for her arduous work on behalf of those in need
and her advocacy for social justice. Less known is the fact
that she was an Oblate of Saint Benedict. This presentation
will offer an overview of the Benedictine spirituality that was
the lifeblood of Dorothy’s social action.
Presenter: Carmina Chapp, Ph.D.
Welcome and check-in is at 5:15 pm. The Monday evening mini-retreats begin at 6:00 p.m. with a full meal.
After the meal there will be a presentation and discussions in the main conference room, followed by evening prayer; the closing blessing is at 9:00 p.m. The donation for these Monday evening retreats is $30.00 per person.
Please pre-register at least 10 days before the retreat so that we can adequately prepare for the meals and the distribution of hand-outs. For more info call 610-258-3053 ext 0
