Description

Speaking through art. Photos as storytelling.

Join us for the Voices if Survivors Project: The Voices of Survivors Project is a photo exhibit created by survivors of human trafficking and other forms of violence. This art exhibit tells the story of survival through visual voices. All participants were given a single prompt - to take pictures and share a caption that tells their own story.

Following a brief discussion about the artists in this project and the impact of this art exhibit will be a screening of Hope: Stories of Survival.

Produced by The Salvation Army Eastern Territory, HOPE is about survivors of human trafficking who let us into their day-to-day lives after their trauma recovery and show us how they’re taking back control of their destinies through empowerment, love, trust and hope. It’s about survivors who guide us through some of their darkest memories of fear of exploitation and provide HOPE for others through their ability to overcome obstacles with the support and effort of those around them. this screening will be followed up with a Panel and discussion.

4:00 – 5:00 pm – Display of Voices of Survivors photos

5:00 – 6:00 pm – Presentation of film: Hope - Stories of Survival

6:00 – 7:00 pm – Panel Discussion. feat. Shea Rhodes as moderator.
